Your prescription includes an anti-inflammatory scalp medication custom developed to decrease scalp redness, flaking, and itching. It can be applied after washing the scalp and once again at bedtime. If you have a dandruff shampoo at home, it can be used once to two times a week as well. It is crucial that the hair is kept dry. Blow dry the hair after every washing and do not leave the hair damp or wet. Moist environments are breeding grounds for yeast so keeping the scalp clean and dry are key.
