Product Details

Your prescription may include a steroid or a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory custom cream. These should be applied on the eczema directly twice daily. If there is any blistering, oozing, or bleeding, contact your doctor.

Doctor's Tip

Eczema may not completely cured but can be kept under control with good skincare. Take a quick, lukewarm (not hot) shower every day. Do not use any soaps, washes, or lathering agents on your skin. Only use a gentle, non-lathering oil or cream based wash in areas that carry an odor daily. Pat your skin dry (do not rub). Apply your medications in the areas with eczema twice daily. Cover the skin with a thick moisturizing cream (not lotion) two to three times daily. Keeping the skin well moisturized is key. If the area is blistered, oozing, bleeding or draining any pus, contact your doctor. Avoiding the following agents may help: exposure to extreme cold or dry air, soaps, shampoos or washes. Laundry detergents with fragrance or dyes. Surface cleaners or disinfectants. Wool or polyester in clothing or sheets. Fragrances in skin care products or candles. Metals especially nickel. Skin care or baby wipes. Dusty areas particularly areas with rugs and carpets. Also stress and diet can cause an eczema flare so keeping track of your flares may help distinguish a common cause. If your eczema is on your face avoid all products including skincare and makeup.
